CALLING ALL YOUTH RADIO PRODUCERS, WRITERS, JOURNALISTS…

Big news: Philly Youth Radio has won another Leeway Art and Social Change grant to do it again!

Starting next January 12th, Philly Youth Radio is partnering with Asian Arts Initiative to work with eight high school students to produce radio stories important to them and their communities. Through eleven intensive radio production workshops on Thursday afternoons 3:30-6pm, youth radio apprentices will gain experience in pitching stories, interviewing, field recording, writing for radio, digital editing, and voicing.

Upon completion of the program, youth radio apprentices will receive a stipend of $100 and the satisfaction of learning how to make some radio.
